Ingredients
  

  • 3 large bell peppers
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion finely minced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Cut the bell peppers in half and remove the seeds.
  • Place the peppers on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced onion and cook for several minutes until softened.
  • Add the ground beef and cook while breaking it apart.
  • Stir in the garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  • Pour in the tomato sauce and cook until the beef is almost fully cooked.
  • Remove the peppers from the oven and fill each half with the meat mixture.
  • Sprinkle grated cheese over each pepper.
  • Bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  • Serve warm.
